Our human rights workshops and seminars provide high quality training focussing on the needs of professionals, working in legal practice. Tailor made, hands on training.
What do you need when you are a lawyer, judge or prosecutor to ensure that you will recognize human rights issues when they are at stake in your cases?
How to be sure that your knowledge is up to date? It turns out to be practically impossible to keep up pace with the case law of the international courts and new international instruments.
For example: the case law of the European Court of Human Rights has taken an enormous flight: the number of decisions and judgments is impressive and impossible to read and absorb. For legal professionals in the EU member states the European Court of Justice is adding even more case law which has to be taken into account.
Legal professionals very often not master the official languages, English or French, to such an extend that they can fully understand the judgments. Translations are expensive and not provided in all relevant cases.
Legal practitioners need information that solves the problems of language and time: training providing an overview and covering issues of application and integration in national practice.
The ECHRT provides that type of training training. Training will always be developed in close cooperation with the organizers or participants. We ensure that the training will cover the appropriate level and will answer to your specific needs.
